First annual Sukkot/meat-chunk-appreciation overnight

It is always an honor to wear this uniform, but it

It is always an honor to wear this uniform, but it is especially humbling on the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. That day was burned into my memory, as it was for so many New Yorkers and Americans. We watched with awe as the @nypd, the @fdny, and EMS ran towards the burning towers while others ran away. We watched in horror on TV screens as people chose to jump to their deaths rather than perish by fire in the towers. Americans came together that day to help and in some cases save people they never met. The selflessness displayed that day by first responders and regular Americans was a reminder of the resilience and selflessness that make me proud of this city and of this country.
